GTN Mission

The vision of Global Training Network is to provide quality biblical and theological training to thousands of indigenous church planters, pastors and Christian leaders throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America, so that these pastors and leaders can then effectively equip and lead their congregations to evangelize and disciple their communities for Christ.

GTN in Senegal and The Gambia

Jesus continues to build His church in Senegal and The Gambia through Global Training Network (GTN) and numerous like-minded partners. Our long-term partnership with Mission Inter Senegal (MIS) opened the door for Pastor Mike and Jill Edelman to begin serving with GTN focused on equipping and encouraging pastors and Christian leaders in sub-Saharan West Africa.

Since 2021, GTN has established training partnerships with associations of pastors and churches across Senegal and The Gambia. More than 300 churches are participating in the biblical training offered by GTN across many denominations. The training offered by GTN is strengthening pastors who in turn are developing their churches to reach the rural communities for Christ.

GTN Core Curriculum

We offer a core curriculum of twelve courses that are now available to you in this self-study format. You may listen to and study each of these courses in English, French, Wolof and Seereer. Through this site you have access to following:

  • Each lesson is 30 minutes.

About Mike & Jill

Mike and Jill have been married for 41 years and live in Elverson, Pennsylvania. They both trusted the Lord as Savior through the ministry of Christ First Church (CFC) in Downingtown, Pennsylvania more than 35 years ago. By God's grace, Mike was called to serve as the Pastor of Prayer and Groups at CFC in 2007 until joining Global Training Network (GTN) in December 2020.

Mike and Jill share a passion for Senegal, West Africa, that has steadily grown over the past 22 years, where they have partnered with organizations focused on church-planting and discipleship. They joined GTN with a desire to equip and encourage pastors, church planters and leaders in Senegal and continue to develop strategic partnerships in this 97% Muslim nation that is open to the gospel.

Since 2021, the Lord has enabled them to establish multi-year equipping partnerships with an increasing number of groups/associations of churches throughout the country that are committed to the 2 Timothy 2:2 vision of multiplying leaders and making disciples.

In 2024, God opened the door for a new training partnership in Gambia, a small country located within Senegal. The people of Gambia are one with the people of Senegal. This is a 98% Muslim nation with freedom of religion. The association of churches that GTN has partnered with have a passion to reach their nation for Christ.

Jill was an interior designer and led her own business for 35 years before joining GTN. She looks forward to this new season of serving together with Mike through GTN. Mike and Jill have been blessed with a son and three daughters who have wonderful believing spouses, along with 13 grandchildren who live in Florida and Pennsylvania.
